Directions to the McKinnon Institute

From Highway 580W: Take Harrison/ MacArthur exit. Go 5 lights to Broadway. Turn left 3 blocks to 30th St. Go right 1 block to Webster. Go left to 2nd building on left.

From Highway 580E: Exit at Broadway-Auto Row following right to Webster St. exit. Go left at stop sign, then 3 blocks to 2940 Webster St., 2nd building on left past 30th St.

From Highway 880N: Take Broadway exit. Right onto Broadway. Left at 29th St. Right at lst block Webster St. building 3rd on the right.

From public transportation: Take BART to 19th St. Station in Downtown Oakland, go upstairs to Broadway. Take AC Transit Berkeley bound Buses #51 or #51M ten blocks up Broadway. Parking for the McKinnon Institute

As of 1 May 2005, the small lot in the back of the school is reserved for staff and clinic clients.

The area around the school is 2-hour, metered parking, except for Sundays and Evenings (after 6:00 pm). The metered parking is very actively patrolled. The best option for parking during classes is street parking on the other side of Broadway on 29th or 30th streets. There is 2-hour time limit on that side that only runs for about half a block, then there is plenty of residential free street parking. The only other restriction to look for is street cleaning on two mornings a month. There is a small pay lot on 30th at the top of the hill called Douglas Parking. The cost is $7 per day (anything over 2 1/2 hours is $7) and the attendant starts at 8:00. He leaves at 5:00 so people who will be there until 6:00 will need to pay in the morning. There are two large lots on Summit St and on Hawthorne, but they are $14 per day on weekdays. The lot on Hawthorne at Broadway is 50 cents per day on Saturdays. Hawthorne is just a slight jog across from where Piedmont intersects Broadway.
