You will learn to integrate these concepts into the gentle listening touch of acupressure and the more active style of traditional shiatsu. There are no prerequisites for the courses in this program.
Acupressure I: 56.00 hrs

It is a system that addresses the chi or life-energy of the body, using specific points along the meridians to open and maintain the flow of energy and encourage physical, emotional and mental balance. The objective of this basic 56-hour course is to give students hands-on experience feeling and working with chi. Students will learn how the meridians and points can increase balance and how the combination of pressure techniques can help to alleviate common symptoms. The course will prepare students to incorporate Acupressure into their practice.

Anatomy & Physiology B: 30.00 hrs
Tuition: $390.00 • Deposit: $20.00This is a 30-hour course is intended to provide the student with a basic background in the anatomical terms and physiological concepts which are related to the Asian massage system. While the Asian concepts of physiology and anatomy will be covered in the "hands on" classes, this course will deal with this information from a primarily Western perspective.

Shiatsu I: 64.00 hrs
Tuition: $835.00 • Deposit: $115.00Shiatsu is an ancient Japanese healing art that incorporates deep breathing, medium to deep pressure techniques, rhythmic movements and the use of various body tools to create wonderfully relaxing and restorative massage. The objective of this basic 64 hour course is to familiarize students with traditional (floor) and modern (table and seated) Shiatsu. Students will learn the body tools and techniques that foster relaxation and restoration, the self-healing practice that replenishes stamina and flexibility and learn the points that relive tension and pain and increase circulation.
