Touch Health Association, founded in 2001, is an outreach agency dedicated to providing massage therapy and education to under served populations in the community. THA has been offering programs within Oakland Public High Schools for Teen Mothers to increase healthy touch and bonding with their babies. Much of the course work is based on research showing massage during the first few years of life fosters lasting positive social-emotional development and psychological benefits.
